I like to eat, eat, eat apples and bananas.

So this is how all the bananas look in the store when I buy them.
<-----------
My mema loved her bananas green, I on the other hand like my bananas a little more ripe, which worked out well by the time she was on her last couple of bananas she wouldn't like them and they would be perfect for me!

So I end up buying green bananas at the store and letting them sit on my counter for like a week until they are perfect, and then I have to eat them all in a day or two before the actual banana turns brown on the inside, but oh well tis the price I pay to enjoy delicious fruit! :)
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I plan ahead..

So Nate and I are going to Ireland in January for a wedding and I decided I needed a new coat, because from what I understand its crazy cold over there, I probably really just need to go through my coat closet but buying is much more fun.
So I found this AWESOME vintage pink hounds tooth wool Coach coat, and I love it sooo much that I just had to share!

My lack of photography skills are evident so the pictures really do not do it justice, the coat is in perfect condition and absolutely stunning with the softest lining ever!
So what else will I wear in Ireland you may ask?
Well I will also be wearing my fur vest that my mother had made for me out of my great grandmas fur coat, my fabulous brown Coach boots and I am planning on wearing my Pink, swarovski crystal covered Christian Louboutin ankle boots. I forgot to take actual pictures of the shoes at my house but these are exactly like the ones I own.

Yes I own those horribly tacky, and outrageously overpriced fabulous pink Louboutin boots. :)

Extremely excited about actually going somewhere to wear all this stuff, I just feel like I have so many clothes that are just a too much for Wichita Falls!
Europe here I come!

Will you "Sperry" Me?

So Nate and I have been debating on buying Sperry topsiders for a while now.
This all came about because he bought a pair of flip flops that were Sperry, and I got to looking into it and realized that I really liked their topsiders and boat/deck shoes. Then my mom had a pair on the other day, and Nate did some research on them and apparently they are completely waterproof and they mold to your feet, much like Birkenstocks do, and everyone knows I LOVED my 6 pairs of Birkenstocks (clogs and slides) before Gus decided to randomly eat one of each pair, but I digress.
So Dillard's is having a 40% off of already 50% off items. Sperrys included. I really like the men's plaid slide ons for Nate, and luckily Dillard's has them!

I also like the women's plaid for me!

But with the plaid it kind of limits what you can wear with them,so maybe we should just get the brown or khaki suede...so many choices, but the best part is These shoes normally run $60-$80 and Dillard's and the Sperry website have them on sale for $30 so for that price maybe Ill spring for both the plaid and the brown!!

Mini cooper? Yes Please

So Ive decided I want a new car.
Well I decided about a year ago, but mine is a 2006 and I wasnt sure what I wanted so I put it off, but now I know.

I am going to buy a mini cooper.
Yes a mini cooper.
Once I found out that they came in automatic, I must have one!

I will prob wait until next summer to buy one though, right now my car is worth about what I owe on it, maybe a little more, but if I wait a year I will pay it down and hopefully it will be worth about the same amount. Time will tell, but I am excited!!

Until we meet again.

My Mema passed away early this morning at the Hospice center.
Although we prayed every day for the Lord to take her to Heaven and let her out of this body that was causing her so much pain, it really didn't make the actual loss of her any easier.

The visitation will be tomorrow, Tuesday, at 6 pm at Owens and Brumley.
And the funeral is Wednesday at 2 at Faith Baptist Church.

I will love and miss her forever.

BIg Fat Failure

The fish in a box is a failure.
Not only did zero fish hatch, but pretty sure zero sea monkeys were born to feed the fish.

Oh well.
Lesson Learned.
And Nate was only out $12.99.
Cheapest Lesson Learned to date :)

Like a Prayer

The end is very near for my dear Mema.
Today is day 5 or 6 without food or water, by her choice obviously, and as her organs are failing her temperature is rising. She is no longer really talking to us or coming back into reality very often. As hard as it is for me to lose her I pray every night for the Lord to take her away from her pain and reunite her with her parents and other loved ones that have passed away.
I also asked her if when she got to Heaven if she would find my Sweet Baby Blue dog and give her a big hug and tell her how much I love her and miss her every day.
So the point of my blog.
As I was driving today from the office to the Oil Library this song came on Bob FM and I just started bawling.
I don't know why it would have affected me so much.
Maybe its how she sang it.
Maybe its because I love Old School Madonna.
Maybe its because I am an emotional wreck.
Maybe its because it really just hit home.
So here it is.

Like A Prayer.

Life is a mystery, everyone must stand alone
I hear you call my name
And it feels like home

Chorus:

When you call my name its like a little prayer
I'm down on my knees, I wanna take you there
In the midnight hour I can feel your power
Just like a prayer you know Ill take you there

I hear your voice, its like an angel sighing
I have no choice, I hear your voice
Feels like flying
I close my eyes, oh God I think I'm falling
Out of the sky, I close my eyes
Heaven help me

(chorus)
The last conversation my mema and I had, I told her how much I loved her and she woke up and told me she loved me too. That is a memory I will have forever.
Please keep my family in your prayers.

I will love you forever Mema. You mean so much to me, and I am so grateful for all that you have done for me.

Cancer

What cancer cannot do.

Cancer is so limited…
It cannot cripple Love,
It cannot shatter Hope,
It cannot corrode Faith,
It cannot eat away Peace,
It cannot destroy Confidence,
It cannot kill Friendship,
It cannot shut out Memories,
It cannot silence Courage,
It cannot invade the Soul,
It cannot reduce eternal Life,
It cannot quench the Spirit,
It cannot lessen the Power
Of the Resurrection.

Unfortunately what cancer can do is take my Mema.
The Doctor gave her a week on Tuesday.
This is an extremely difficult time for me.

Here is a picture I snapped with my Iphone of my grandpa trying to feed my Mema before we took her back to Hospice.
PLease pray for my family, pray for strength for my grandpa, and pray for my mema to be at peace.
Thanks

I'll post more later.

Fish in a box

I am offically a blogger now.
I don't expect to have lots of readers considering Ive only told 2 people I even have a blog, but this will be a nice outlet for me.

Please excuse all grammatical errors as I think in the form of run-ons and fragments.

My first blog is about my fish in a box.

Yes, you read that correctly, fish in a box.
I saw this at one of the Ship Stores at Lake Texoma a couple of weekends ago and wanted it instantly, but decided against saying anything to Nate for obvious reasons.
Every weekend we went back, and every weekend I wanted it more.
So we bought it.

I originally thought it was shrimp that you fed and it grew, but no it's actually better, you start with a fish egg in the soil, add water, watch the fish grow, hatch the little shrimps a couple of days later, watch the fish eat the shrimp and viola, Fish in a box. After three months the fish can be transferred to a bigger bowl and fed regular fish food.
Or so the box says.
My plan is to get started with it tonight, stay tuned for updates.
