The big one

She got scared. Needed to be in her momma's lap.

2 down

2 bridesmaids dresses were ordered yesterday, yay! I also found a little tank with the word "Bride" on it in blue sparkle things so I bought it, but then I threw it away, in retrospect I prob should have taken it back and got a refund but oh well. I'm not digging it out of the trash!

I know its wrong...

And unhealthy, but I just can't help myself. Its the better option right now.
Yes I bought a month of fake tanning.
It was really my only option. At least I am only going 8-10 minutes a day and not 20 like I used to.
I have bridals coming up and I have heard too many horror stories about spray tans and streaks and coming out orange, so I thought about getting the airbrush tan, but I'm an exfoliator (think I just made that word up). I LOVE to exfoliate. face, necks, chest, back, legs, everything. At least once a day.  I figured exfoliating with an airbrush tan is not a good thing. I don't want to be streaky in my wedding dress or have the color rub off and potentially stain the dress, but I don't want to be as white as my dress either.
So tanning bed it is.
For one month. 8-10 minutes 6 days a week.
That will cover me for bridals and engagements and then it will be lake season so I will have an au naturale tan. And yes I had to buy a bandeau top (tube top) bathing suit so I wouldn't have tan lines on my shoulders and neck in my wedding and I do not like tube top bathing suits, they are rarely flattering but oh well.  I shall be lounging out in my tube top and boy shorts this summer!

What a wonderful life.

I was blessed with a wonderful fiance' who not only agreed to go to another Britney Spears concert with me, surprised me with tickets today, and they aren't even on sale yet!

He is so good to me and I love him so much. I cant wait to be his wife.

Busy rest of the month

So on top of being extremely busy at work, I have a full month ahead of me.

One of Nate's good friends is in the country for the week and staying with us so we went to OTB last night. It made me sick, but I lost 4/10's of a pound so thats a plus! He will be with us until Sunday or Monday.

Tonight, Jodie, Jennifer, Kimber and I are going to Pasquals to celebrate Jodie's birthday. She turned  the big 2-5 yesterday. It's officially time for her quarter life crisis! Im looking forward to some much needed girl time.
Tomorrow night I am meeting my mom and her friends for their once a month "Champagne Thursday". Basically they get together eat goodies and enjoy some champagne and each others company. One lady sells wedding invites, bridal gifts etc etc so I am getting her books from her and going to pick out the invitiations, guest book and some other little things we are lacking for the upcoming nuptuals.

Next week I spend the whole week getting my hair, nails, toes, tanning done for the bridal portraits that are on Saturday, Thank goodness I have Friday off. The following Sunday is Easter so Ill attend church and lunch with my momma, and Nate is flying up to Delaware picking up Connor, Flying back and we will have a 6 year old with us for the next week.
On the 25th I start boot camp with Kimber, which we are calling "Bridal Booty Camp" since she is also planning her wedding.  Its 3 times a week for 6 weeks of pure torture Im sure, but I am looking forward to it (for now)  :)

ON the 19th I agreed to particiapte in a Focus Group at the Wichita Falls Teachers Federal Credit Union, I worked there for the 4 years I was in college and a year after I graduated until I moved here to BLS, and I am still a member there with alot of my accounts still with them so I am always willing to help and give my opinion when asked.

ON the 30th that morning I am particiapteing in the Autism Awareness walk that my friend, and photographer, Jessica Bailey, is coordinating and that evening my cousin is coming in from Fort Hood before he leaves from Afghanistan so my aunt is throwing a party for family and friends. And sometime in the next week Pat King goes in for another round of preventavtive chemo for his Leukemia which means Ill be spending time at the hospital and helping take care of his house while he's there.

WHEW! I'm looking forward to everything but I am ready for things to settle back down, but something tells me they won't until after Spetember 24th, 2011, which of course is the wedding day.

My Celebrity Crush

Its not one of those gay guys like Robert Pattinson, or some other trendy guy it's drum roll please.......Zane Lamprey

He is the host of two different shows, one is his old show Three Sheets which is re airing on Spike TV where he travels the globe in search of local drinks and culture.
His other show is current and called Drinking Made Easy it currently is on the channel HDNET (which is owned by Mark Cuban, also owner of the Dallas Mavericks basketball team for those who don't know) and its HIGHlarious! In this one he goes to different towns in the United States with a couple of his friends and gives reviews of bars and local drinks and customs. It's really interesting and very entertaining!

He is so sarcastic and funny, I think that is what makes him so charming because obviously there are better looking actors, TV personalities etc.
But I really enjoy his shows and him and you should CH Ch Check them out!

PS yes Nate knows and is okay with my crush!  :)

I think

Maybe I wore the fat boy ( real name: Squatty Body) out on our walk.
Seeing how he passed out in the hallway on his way to no where in particular!

Mr. Blow dryer.

We had a good many years together.
But now I get to purchase a new, bigger, better, not so loud but just as fabulous as you were...

The Chi Nano.
Or maybe just the regular Chi Blow dryer, at this point its which ever one I can find in town!

I love to listen to live music, when I was younger(and able to stay up later) it was mostly in bars but I have always enjoyed concerts and have been to more than I can count in all different varieties of artist, IE Britney Spears, NSync, Paul McCartney, Dave Matthews, Jimmy Buffett and more country artists than I care to type, but I love concerts. There is just something magical about them.
So the point is I saw where Kidd Rock and Sheryl Crow are going on tour together, and they are both on my "To Be Seen" list and they are coming to Dallas.
So I asked my dear future husband if he would like to join me and if so I would get us tickets.
And being the wonderful man that he is surprised me with this in an email today

Didya miss me?

Well Nate and I took a mini vacay to New Orleans last weekend. He had a conference in Louisiana this week so we left last Thursday and drove to New Orleans and stayed the weekend. It was my first time there and I think everyone should go just to see it and experience something different. We stayed at an Awesome hotel right on Bourbon Street called Royal Sonesta. It takes up a whole block of the French Quarter, and our room overlooked Bourbon Street. We had a great time just walking around and looking at the shops and street vendors and artists. Unfortunately I am a horrible photographer and only got one picture of us and its on Nate's camera, so hopefully one day Ill get it uploaded! We must have walked close to 10 miles in the three days!
We also took a cruise on the The Natchez, up the Mississippi which was pretty neat. I had never been on a steamboat nor on the Mississippi river.
I flew back on Sunday and Nate drove to his conference in Lafayette and he should be back this afternoon sometime and I am ready to see him! Ive missed him, plus I don't know how to work the thermostat at the house (since I never mess with it!) so its been set on some weird temperature hahaha.
